For years, Adobe has provided youth in underserved communities with an educational curriculum called Adobe Youth Voices (AYV). Through software donations, grants and on-location training, the program is designed to give children the critical skills that are needed to become active and engaged members within their communities, specifically as it relates to self-expression, creativity, digital literacy, and citizenship. As a means of building global awareness around the AYV initiative, BLITZ worked with Adobe and The Black Eyed Peas to create an experience called "Plant Your Ideas."
Within this interactive experience, users are invited to create a unique flower that conveys their personal story and artistic journey by using pre-loaded images, personal photographs (through Facebook connect) and a written narrative. In addition to the visual tools, we incorporated a music player that allows users to mash-up existing Black Eyed Peas tracks to add to their flower. Once finished, the flower is uploaded to the gallery for others to view and rate, and it can also be uploaded on the user’s social networks for sharing with friends.
